Mission, Vision and Values

Mission

We have the privilege of teaching some truly amazing young people at Holbrook School for Autism. We offer a stimulating and safe learning environment in which we all work together to nurture and maximise the potential of every individual and celebrate their achievements.

Whilst embracing elements of the national curriculum frameworks, the school’s main priority is to address the autism-specific barriers to learning. Our students individual needs are at the heart of our autism specific curriculum. Firm foundations and strong partnerships provide the platform for dynamic, challenging and personalised learning pathways, preparing our students for their life journey.

We aim for all students to foster a passion for learning, developing them academically, socially, emotionally and physically. This allows our young people to develop the attitudes, skills and courage to succeed allowing them to live as independently as possible, and have strategies to cope and thrive in the world outside of school.

Vision

Our vision is to be a model of best practice in the education of students with autism. Through innovation and collaboration we will provide guidance and inspiration locally and nationally to improve the outcomes for a greater number of students. We aim to provide the best opportunities for our students with autism, through evidence-informed practice that is person-centred and family-focused, with the ultimate aim of preparing for a life that is full of success, independence and happiness.
